This unique polka dot bowtie is made from the original wood floor at Rupp Arena, home of the Kentucky Wildcats. Each piece is unique and some discoloration should be expected due to age, weathering, and yellowing of the top coat.
This court wood was installed in 1976 and used for home games until 2001, and saw action including the 1978, 1996, and 1998 NCAA Championship teams, as well as the 1985 Final Four won by Villanova. After removal in 2001, the court was placed in storage by the Lexington Convention Center, owners of Rupp Arena, and pieces were given as commemorative gifts and decorations by the university and convention center. The remaining pieces were auctioned in 2018 as part of the renovations of the arena and convention center. We were able to obtain several pieces from that auction.
-Each Wildcats bowtie will come with a certificate of authenticity, and include engraving on the reverse side indicating the original of the wood. Digital copies of the original certificate of authenticity from the Lexington Convention Center are available upon request.

I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

If you have a preferred wood or combination of woods, but don't see it listed, please contact me - I am happy to create something custom for you.
Engravings are made with hand wood burning techniques, and have a rustic appearance that matches the ring. Engravings can be added to your order using the personalization option on the listing page. Not all woods are suitable for wood burned engravings, and we do not offer that option on rings that we don't feel would work for engravings.
Sizes are in standard US ring sizes. The first exchange for sizing is free for US buyers. Non-US buyers must pay additional shipping charges for exchanges due to sizing.
If you are unsure of your ring size, it is recommended to have your finger sized by a jeweler, or to try an online ring sizing guide such as findmyringsize.com
Care for your ring is generally simple, and only differs from the care required for a metal ring in a few ways:
While it's always better to take any ring off around water, hand washing and showering with the ring on are generally okay. We do recommend removing it before using a pool or hot tub due to the potential for chemical interactions with the finish. Strong chemicals and cleaners should be avoided while wearing the ring.
If your ring becomes significantly scratched, or the finish begins to wear over time or from chemical exposure, simply brush a small amount of superglue over the surface of the ring, and allow it to dry (we recommend superglue bottles with built-in brush applicators). If you have questions - please ask!
Rings are placed inside of a small AMAC (transparent plastic) jewelry box. First Class are sent with a receipt-style packing slip using 100% recycled paper inside of a brown cushioned mailing envelope made from recycled newspaper. We do not offer additional gift wrapping at this time.
Contact must be made with me prior to returns to ensure any issues are handled prior to shipping and to alert me to look for a package. Returned rings should be placed inside their original jewelry box and then placed into a cushioned mailing envelope (available in the shipping supplies at your local post office). Shipping may be done via USPS First Class for locations within the US to provide a cheap option that still provides tracking information. Canada residents are strongly encouraged to utilize shipping with tracking and insurance for your protection in the case of a lost or stolen package.
Please contact me immediately if you suspect a package has been lost or misdelivered. Make certain that you've checked with family members and neighbors, and looked in likely spots where a package may have been left. Call your local post office in the case of a misdelivery so that they can track down your package and correct the delivery.
If your item has been damaged during shipping, you must keep both the damaged item and packaging, be willing to take photos of the damage, and fill out forms from our insurer in order to process your replacement/refund in a timely manner.
